The Future is Local

Updated: Aug 15, 2023

Yesterday we read this verse from Isaiah 59:19

"When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him," I asked the students what they thought it meant by a standard. I shared that I believe they are to emulate that standard; all of us ought to.

We live in a culture of moral decline and inverted monstrosities, It is critical children see the world as a place of possibility and themselves as having unlimited potential. Last week in Greek Mythology, we read the story of Prometheus and Pandora and even in her jar of perils, hope remained. The world is in a fallen state and times have always been corrupt. The only difference is now, we are more aware of the deception. The revelations about how the enemy works ought to motivate all of us to protect our children at all costs and equip them with God's word.

Our vision for Roots was inspired by Little House and homesteading. What we learned in the past year is that although farming is an essential part of it, God's vision is much bigger. He wants to restore families, promote community, and build virtue in the youth.

There is no better time than now to invest in local and private businesses you believe in. Why place all of your assets into distant markets without the promise of a solid return when you can instead be confident that your dollars will benefit and be used to cultivate outcomes you can see?

Join us at our third annual BBQ on Saturday, October 15th. You can purchase tickets on Facebook or our website. Come and meet our families and staff. We are growing and are beginning to make plans for a permanent location that will not only act as a learning center but provide unlimited opportunities for the community as a whole.
