There is no sense of relief greater than the one you feel after a long wait. The enduring trust wears down to a final thread of faith until you come to a point where you feel it will no longer hold. It is in this moment of complete surrender that God reveals his will and plan. Time after time, He never fails to show up and His plan works out to be a much better one than our own.

Although fear and a lack of confidence loitered at the doorstep, time spent daily in the Word and unceasing prayers from the faithful provided the buoyancy needed to float through a memorable camp experience, successful BBQ, and an outstanding Christmas performance
In the book, Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis says, "I do not know why there is this difference; but I am sure that God keeps no one waiting unless He sees that it is good for him to wait. When you do enter your room, you will find that the long wait has done you some kind of good which you would not have had otherwise." Once you enter that space, there is a newfound sense of gratitude for the small things, a new claim of fortitude, and a clearer perspective of your goals.

After any storm, the calm and beauty that follows leaves the landscape with a refreshed sense of humility. The sun comes out and the birds chirp wildly in their pursuit for easy displaced nourishment. Animals and people alike come out from their shelters to continue their daily tasks. The vibrant colors of the grass, flowers, and sky are reflected in mirrored puddles and glistening dew drops. The world is a safe and beautiful place once again. The wait was worth the sacrifice.
